I think this morning I’m going to visit Fengdu, also called the “Ghost City.” I think it’s calle that because of the displaced residents, having had to move because the town will be flooded soon because of the dam, but I’m not sure. (ed. note- The town will, in fact, be damned, but it’s named Ghost City because of the temples dedicated to the netherworld kooky stuff.) 9:00am So the ghost town was pretty fun. Apparently it’s the Chinese version of a city of the netherworlds ,with lots of weird statues and temples dedicated to the afterlife. Some were pretty cool, while others were just silly. There was even a “Ghost Temple,” complete with a Chinese haunted house. 1:15pm I had a pretty nice snooze a little while ago. Life’s pretty nice and slow on the boat. I think it was probably ood for me to stop me from going from place to place trying to cover a lot of ground. It’s nice to just lay back and check out the green hills and small towns that pass by on the riverside. Every other Chinese guy on the boat has his shirt off, so I’ve decided to adopt the fashion as well, exposin my pale, chubby stomach.
