I spent 9 days traveling alone to major cities and cites. It was an incredible journey. I kept a journal on my trip and I would like to share it with you: Wow, what a great start to my trip. I was able to successfully get to Tokyo and visit some sights all alone. Though it was sometimes a strange feeling traveling alone, it also makes me feel very independent. It is also a strange feeling being in another country where I know NO ONE and no one knows me! Very strange! It has been a very long first day of my trip. It started at 2:45AM when I woke up to catch the bus to Taipei. Turns out I didn’t need to get up that early, I got to the airport 3 hours early. Better early than late! My flight went smoothly and after a nerve wracking wait my luggage showed up. That was the easy part. The thing that I was most nervous about was traveling by train. They have so many types of trains I was nervous I was going to get lost. Turns out everyone was very helpful and I had great directions to the hostel. I made it without getting lost! After getting checking in I knew I needed to head back out right away or I would fall asleep. So I freshened up and headed out to explore the area around my hostel. It was a very cute area.
