In August 2009 Wayne, Maria, Antonio, Africa & Myself (Conor) went to China for 18 days. It was great to see such places like the Great Wall & Terracotta Warriors. But the best thing was to just witness a different culture. Travel broadens the mind. What you learn by just been here you could not get from a TV program or a book. I reckon everyone should go to China just to witness & see a fantastic country. The most expensive part of the trip is the plane ticket. The plane ticket KLM cost €979, the total cost (for me) of the holiday was €2900 aprox, that includes the plane ticket. I did no shopping.— But if i won Lotto i would buy everything in china there are amazing bargains here. They offer to ship big items to your country. — The Marriot hotel was €90 a night, in my country that is €900 for that quality. — The train tickets for a 24 hour trip was €50 and that includes your bed.— we bought our great wall & warrior tickets on the street, it is cheaper than buying at home or at the hotel that would charge €90, yet the man on street would charge €30 for 5. — i was in china for 18 days. — now is the time to go, the chinese are expecting foreign tourist in the future, they are building Disney type stalls, so it will be very touristy in years to come. —the government really control things, the people are under control, but this is very very good, i wish all countries ran things like this for example don’t be surprised if the van bringing you to see the great …
