ZHANG: And in New York, NTD’s International Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition drew to a successful close Sunday night. Let’s take a look at who took home the awards. STORY: After two days of intense competition, the winners in the first ever International Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition emerged victorious. Zhang Wuna from the US city of Seattle won the first prize for male internal style with his Wudang Tai Chi. Zhou Hongliang from the Chau Ka Chinese Martial Arts Association in Hong Kong, received the 2nd prize for his Wudang Xuanwu Quan. Ding Jianping from Canada won 3rd place for his Chen Style Tai Chi Quan. And Guan Jingshun received the Outstanding Award for his Court Ba Gua Zhang. Huang Liling from Taiwan, took away the female internal style champion with her Chen style Tai Chi . Huang Xuefen from Canada won the 2nd place for her Chen style Tai Chi Quan. Liu Yuzhen from Singapore received the 3rd prize with her Yang style Tai Chi Quan, and Lin Huang Li Zhu got the outstanding award. There weren’t any first place winners for the male and female Long Fist competitions, but the 2nd prize was shared by Hu Jinlong and Li Xinxin. Zhang Xiaobin received the 3rd prize for male Long Fist. Liu Shangpeng, Joshua Heath and He Pei, won the outstanding awards for male and female Long Fist, respectively.
