How to deal with Pacific Northwest Gold Quests – just expand here for strategy ! Pacific Northwest layouts introduce white pearls as special jewels . They can be matched with each other like any other jewel. If a white pearl falls off the edge of the board, it will make a new brown space called “tile” there , this tile needs to be turned to gold as any other tile on the board in order to finish the level. Gold layouts are much harder and you will never have more than 3 pearls on the board.And you’ll need white pearls to create “bridges” of tiles to reach an isolated “island” of tiles . Once you’ve connected the islands in one section of the board and turned them to gold, you won’t need more pearls there. On the other hand, you may find it easier to work with just one pearl instead of all three, especially if you’re trying to make precision connections. So do decide consciously where you want the pearls. Several useful tips : – Don’t stack up two pearls vertically or horizontally. This will make it very hard to move them !In this case try to match all 3 pearls to eliminate them and get new ones better placed .This can be high-time consuming , you can even consider restarting the board . – You need as many space as you can get between pearls to make easier matches . – Once you’ve obtained a white pearl don’t make more matches in that area , make futher matches at least 3-4 tile far from it so a new pearl will be dropped there and you’ll have enough room around it to make …
