My name is Sky and I am a huge fan of History Channel. I also like action. Action movies, shows, you name it. I really enjoy watching historical movies, especially if they feature war or fighting. After watching the SyFy Channel program “Face/Off”, I came up with an idea for a show where you would gather fight choreographers and give them time period scenarios to create original fight sequences. I think a way to express this to the contestants would be: You are approached by a director of a film who wants to create either an opening fight sequence or pivotal fight scene for their movie. It is up to you to come up with a scenario that will get the audience’s attention. How I would frame the competition: 1. A time period and demographic location are named. The competitor has to keep these two elements in their finished product. 2. Two to four stuntmen can be used. Not gender specific. 3. The fight has to contain historically accurate weapons and fighting techniques. 4. Bonus points are awarded for originality. 5. Bonus points are awarded for drama/tension created in the fight. If one person starts winning at the beginning, but a change in circumstance causes the other person to start winning, for example. Things I am not certain of, at this time, are: Time length of each fight (though this may be a moot point); how the fight will be presented to be judged; how each round will work out (how many days from issuance of challenge, to preparation, to completing the project).
