Welcome Home Remix — By Julie Zhan
This is a tribute to Daniel Cloud Campos’ “Welcome Home” video. Cloud, I hope I did you justice because your film was shot, choreographed, performed, and edited brilliantly!
This remix is about a girl that discovers some awesome dance powers while cleaning her house…only to find out it was a dream. Third time around, she’s back in reality and dances horribly. But were the first two times really a dream? Or was there something in the Chinese food? Dun dun dun… Shot in one (longggg) day on Mark Gadia’s Canon EOS 60D. This is definitely heavily LXD-influenced, as an inside joke, and because I love dance and I love the webseries. Something I learned while editing: I’M REALLY LOUD. Oh my god no wonder everyone complains about it…after hearing myself on video…my apologies to the world! Fun fact: I had to lower the db on most of the bloopers to -15 or -20 so I don’t blow your ears out with my…voice -.-” haha Had a TON of fun doing this project with the best crew in the world: Mark Gadia, Farah Cho, Rommel Andaya, and with the help of Rian Gadia. Thanks everyone
And most of all, thank you Cloud for inspiring me to do this project. You really are extraordinary.
