Entry from: Hoi An, Vietnam Entry Title: “Rain rain go away…” Entry: “Well surprise surprise another bus ticket and another change of plan which they don’t actually tell you about until you are on the bus and well on your way. The bus to Hoi An doesnt actually stop in Hoi An!!? What I hear you cry?? Yep – thats right a bus ticket to Hoi An stops 10 km up the road so then you have to pay the same price as your bus ticket which has taken you 200km for a moped to take you 10 km up the road!! HOW RUDE!! So there we are, with helmets that either don’t fit or wont do up (sorry mums) with all our luggage and some of the craziest (and smelliest) moped drivers praying for our lives. Luckily we made it to our hotel and even luckier our friend Pete, who we left in Nha Trang was already there so had set us up with a cheap room. For (yes we are still using dollars!) per night it was one of the nicest places we had stayed and even moved rooms so we had a balcony – little things eh?! The hotel was part of a group of 3 in the area so we had use of the swimming pool at one of the other hotels so we were impressed at that too. As we still had a broken camera our first task after checking in was was to find a camera shop to buy a new battery. Although the roads here are nowhere near as busy as in the cities you …
