First let me explain how this came about. I don’t speak the language, but my mother’s chinese american and she had a chinese dictionary. I would ask her the meaning of the symbols, and I learned to write (or more accurately, draw) some of them because I thought they were mysterious and looked cool. I didn’t take it too seriously until I showed my friends how to write “love.” It was unbelievable: they couldn’t believe how easy it was, and I couldn’t believe how hard they thought it’d be!
