Better than a “The Hangover” Review…(Read Desc.)
originally the intermission. i felt this would be a better upload. even if it’s me taking some punishment. and now finally a review in reason form why the Hangover is terrible. 1. not funny, let’s you know what jokes are coming ahead of time. making it ridiculously predictable 2. two characters only. the rest being extremely shoddy plot device. 3. terrible characters. since Phil doesn’t count as a character, as his character is pretty much dropped 15 minutes into the movie. were left with phil and allan. Stu is a dentist who is uptight and annoying, with a “doctor,dentist” joke latched on to him like a refugee from “The Room”. Allan, is a socially awkward idiot who states the obvious and is essentially a less funny “Ernie” from the george lopez show, who was already hard to laugh at in the first place. Allan’s other issue is his horrid pop culture references which do not work without a proper setup. 4. Lack of story, the story is paper thin and essentially cut up into a sort of “mini-movie” setup to explain our roofie’d hooligans adventure. sadly none of these parts are even remotely humorous and rely on shock humor which by the time we get to these sections of the movie, become terribly predictable aswell. 5. the plot devices we do have are bare bones. from phil’s prostitute wife appearing and dissapearing to a whim. to Doug, our supposed original main character dissapearing 15 minutes into the movie. and mike tyson’s cameo is squandered into one obvious punch, and then …
