Melbourne is just “Melboun” ). More Aussie speak? They combine “how are you?” and “how’s it going?” into “how’r ya goin?”. “Cheers” is “Thank you”, and “No worries” is a combination of “no problem and don’t worry about it, and is often used in place of “you’re welcome”. Cairns itself is a beautiful seaside town surrounded by mountains and filled with A ) backpackers and B ) WAY too many tourist shops and so-called visitor information centers that cater to all the many many Great Barrier Reef tours. Cairns offers more tours to the reef than any other Aussie city, and it feels that way. And if I didn’t know any better I’d feel like I was somewhere is Japan or China or other Asian town. It’s incredible. Cheap tourist shops litter the town. Makes it hard to find anything authentically Australian. Spent my first day walking all over town. He became the 1st sacked minister-level official in 2011. Liu is alleged to have a serious violation of discipline. He lost his post as Minister of Railways.
